Our goal is to create a robust network of services that address the diverse needs of the community, ensuring that no one is left behind. Through continuous assessment and adaptation, we strive to build sustainable systems that promote long-term development and well-being for all individuals and families.
Promoting Inclusive Education
At SADHANA, we are deeply committed to promoting inclusive education that accommodates the diverse needs of all children, including those with disabilities. Our efforts focus on creating an educational environment where every child can thrive. We work closely with schools, educators, and communities to ensure that inclusive practices are implemented and embraced. This involves training teachers to adopt inclusive teaching methods, providing accessible learning materials, and fostering an accepting and supportive atmosphere within schools. Additionally, we engage with parents and caregivers to raise awareness about the importance of inclusive education and to encourage their active participation in their children’s learning journeys. Through these comprehensive initiatives, SADHANA aims to break down barriers to education, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential and participate fully in society.
Early Childhood Education
At SADHANA, we recognize the crucial role that early childhood education plays in the development and future success of children. As part of our efforts to support holistic child development, we provide assistance and support to Anganwadi workers in the implementation of early childhood education activities. Our dedicated team of community facilitators works closely with Anganwadi workers to enhance their understanding of the importance of pre-school activities and their impact on a child’s overall growth and development. We provide training and guidance to the workers, helping them organize age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children. Through our collaboration with Anganwadi workers, we aim to create nurturing and stimulating environments in Anganwadis, where children can learn, explore, and develop essential skills. Our community facilitators help in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, creativity, and social interaction. By supporting Anganwadi workers in their efforts to provide quality early childhood education, we strive to lay a strong foundation for children’s educational journey. We believe that investing in early childhood education is crucial for the overall well-being and future success of children, and we are committed to supporting Anganwadi workers in creating an enriching and inclusive learning environment for young learners. Through our collaborative efforts, we aspire to contribute to the positive development of children during their formative years and ensure that they have a strong educational foundation for a brighter future.
Mental Health
At SADHANA, we understand the significance of mental health and well-being in the overall development of adolescents. In line with our commitment to promoting holistic well-being, our community facilitators actively engage with adolescents in different schools and nearby communities to support their mental health and build their confidence.
Our dedicated team of community facilitators works closely with adolescents, creating a safe and supportive space where they can freely express themselves, share their experiences, and seek guidance. Through various interactive sessions, workshops, and activities, we aim to promote positive mental health and equip adolescents with essential skills to navigate challenges and build resilience.
The activities facilitated by our community facilitators are designed to address various aspects of mental health, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, stress management, interpersonal skills, and self-esteem. We promote healthy coping mechanisms and encourage open discussions on mental health topics to reduce stigma and increase awareness.
By engaging with adolescents in different schools and nearby communities, we aim to empower them with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to maintain positive mental health and well-being. Through our activities, we strive to build their confidence, enhance their self-esteem, foster positive relationships, and develop effective communication and problem-solving skills.
We believe that investing in mental health during adolescence is vital for the overall development and future success of individuals. By working closely with adolescents, we aim to create a supportive environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
Through our ongoing efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the mental health of adolescents, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and support to navigate the challenges of adolescence and lead fulfilling lives.
Addressing malnutrition
At SADHANA, we recognize the critical importance of addressing malnutrition in children, particularly in the early years of their development. In collaboration with anganwadis in the Gopabandhu Nagar block, we have implemented a program aimed at providing additional supplementary hot meals to children to combat malnutrition.
Through our program, we prepare and serve six different nutritious items as part of the supplementary meals provided at the anganwadis. These meals are designed to be both healthy and delicious, ensuring that children receive the essential nutrients they need for their growth and development. We carefully consider the nutritional value of each food item to ensure a well-balanced diet.
One of the unique aspects of our program is the active involvement of mothers in the feeding process. Mothers bring their children to the anganwadi centers, where they participate in feeding their children the nutritious meals. This setup creates an opportunity for mothers to engage in conversations about nutrition and learn about the nutritional values of different food items. It also serves as a platform for mothers to see and learn from each other, fostering a sense of community and collective learning.
By involving mothers in the feeding process, we aim to empower them with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their children’s nutrition. We provide guidance and support to mothers, offering them practical tips on preparing nutritious meals at home and promoting healthy eating habits for their children.
Through our program, we strive to address malnutrition in children by not only providing them with nutritious meals but also by creating a space for mothers to actively participate and learn. We believe that by working together and sharing knowledge, we can make a significant impact on improving the nutritional status of children in the community.
Our commitment to addressing malnutrition in anganwadis is driven by the belief that every child deserves access to adequate nutrition for healthy growth and development. Through our efforts, we aim to ensure that children in the Gopabandhu Nagar block receive the necessary nutrients they need to thrive, laying a strong foundation for their overall well-being and future success. Overall, our community involvement initiatives are designed to empower local people to become active participants in the disability inclusion movement. By providing resources and opportunities for education, support, and community engagement, we hope to build a more inclusive and equitable society for all
