Key role and responsibilities:

The Inclusive Development Coordinator (IDC) at SADHANA plays a pivotal role in promoting an inclusive society where individuals with disabilities can develop their optimum potential. They are responsible for guiding and coordinating the implementation of project activities at the community, group, and family levels. The IDC is responsible for effective planning, team management, and seamless coordination among stakeholders. By supporting Inclusive Development Facilitators (IDFs) and other project staff, the IDC must provide technical guidance and thematic training, monitor progress, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.

This role is essential in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential with active involvement from their families and communities. Join us in making a meaningful impact through our dedicated efforts towards inclusivity and development.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

# Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields.

# At least 4 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the field of disability, health, special education, or related field.

# Strong leadership, coordination, and supervisory skills.

# Good communication and interpersonal skills.

# Proficiency in computer applications and data management.

# Concerned for peoples in need and ability to meet deadlines.

# Fluency in Odia, English and Hindi; knowledge of local language will be preferred.

Key role and responsibilities:

The Inclusive Development Facilitator (IDF) at SADHANA is the main person working directly with the community, families, and individuals with disability to promote inclusion and development of people with disabilities. The IDF is responsible for facilitating the functioning of supportive structures like village resource pools and fun and learning groups, ensuring families use skills and knowledge from training sessions, and implementing rehabilitation and inclusion Plans for individuals with disability. By building relationships within the community and collaborating with local officials and service providers, the IDF has to raise awareness and drive initiatives that support the holistic development of individuals with disabilities.

The IDF’s hands-on approach and active engagement at the grassroots level are crucial for creating an inclusive environment where everyone can reach their full potential. Qualifications and Skills Required:

# Age 21 to 35 years as on ‘last date’ mentioned in the job advertisement

# Intermediate and above in any discipline (Preference will be given to education, sociology, social work, psychology, or related field)

# Willingness to work in the villages and community

# Preference will be given to candidates from local area having experience of working with disabled people, families, and rural/tribal villages

# Good communication and interpersonal skills.

# Concerned for people in need and ability to meet deadlines.

# Able to write reports, applications, etc in Odia.

# Able to understand and speak manageable Hindi, preference will be given to those who can understand English to a minimum level.

# Knows the use of smart mobile phones.

Position: Community Health Worker (CHW)

Key role and responsibilities: The Community Health Worker at SADHANA are vital to our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Programme, providing crucial support for individuals with mental illness, seizure disorders, and multiple disability. They have to assist parents and individuals in managing their medication and facilitate consultations with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals. By maintaining accurate patient records, they have to ensure meticulous tracking of treatments and progress. CHW has to educate and support families and caregivers on managing mental health and seizure disorders, and collaborate with healthcare providers and organizations to ensure comprehensive care of individuals with seizure disorder, mental illness and multiple disability.  

Qualifications and Skills Required:

# ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) certification.

# Experience in community health, mental health, or a related field will be given preference.

# Have interest in understanding of mental health and seizure disorders.

# Good communication and interpersonal skills.

# Have the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in challenging environments.

# Have the ability to understand prescriptions and keep medical records/related data

# Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations.

# Compassionate and empathetic attitude for poor people and willingness to help them.

# Strong organizational and time management skills.

# Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

# Willingness to travel within the community and to remote areas as needed.

# Proficiency in Odia and Hindi is preferred.

# Basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
